Pocket watch

A small timekeeping device that fits in a pocket, typically with a hinged cover. It usually has a mechanical movement and displays the time on a dial with hour, minute, and sometimes second hands. Pocket watches were popular in the 18th and 19th centuries before wristwatches became more common.
